On a joint gourmet mission at Internorga

02.09.2019 From the Bell Food Group
Premiere in Hamburg: Bell, Hilcona and Hügli presented themselves at one stand at this year's Internorga. The three brands of the Bell Food Group thus demonstrated their combined expertise in the out-of-home segment to trade visitors. Hügli also received an award for its sustainable packaging concept.

In mid-March, Internorga, Germany's most important trade fair for the out-of-home market, opened its doors for the 93rd time. Around 96,000 trade visitors took advantage of the industry event to be inspired, discover the latest trends and make contacts. Among the 1300 exhibitors from 25 countries was the Bell Food Group, which presented its Bell Professional, Hilcona Foodservice and Hügli Food Service brands at a joint stand.

"In order to show our strength in the out-of-home segment, it made sense for us to appear together for the first time at Internorga," reports Sebastian Maiwald, Brand Manager Division Food Service at Hügli and stand manager in Hamburg. "At our double-decker joint stand, we were able to present our combined expertise and our wide range of products in an attractive and professional way."

To find out how well the Bell Food Group's trio of brands harmonize, visitors to Hall A1 only had to follow their noses. In the show kitchen on the first floor of the stand, chefs from Bell, Hilcona and Hügli combined their products to create ever new creations. For example, they delighted passers-by with a currywurst from Bell with deep-fried pasta from Hilcona and tomato-curry sauce from Hügli.

The upper floor of the stand then offered space for more intensive discussions between existing and potential customers as well as the respective sales representatives. Of course, culinary delights were not neglected here either: guests were able to get to know products from all three brands during a tasting menu. In addition, two other members of the Bell Food Group, Vogeley and Bresc, presented themselves at individual stands due to space restrictions. While Vogeley focused on desserts and the high-calorie supplementary nutrition for senior citizens "CuraPlus", Bresc presented its chilled garlic and herb creations for the food service market.

Hügli already had reason to celebrate on the eve of the start of the trade fair. The packaging concept of the convenience professionals received the "BEST of Market Award" in the category "Sustainability Product Packaging". The clever idea behind it: The packaging is designed in the gastronomy standard format and is therefore compatible with correspondingly standardized appliances such as freezers or keep-warm containers. At the same time, they can be reused in the kitchen for other purposes, as they are microwaveable and dishwasher-safe, among other things.

"As the industry hotspot for trends and innovations, Internorga was once again a very special highlight for us this year," says Sebastian Maiwald. "We were able to gather great impressions and make promising contacts. That's why we're already looking forward to next year."
